Watch the Environment
Here is how writing is creation.
You watch the environment and take a picture with words instead of a camera.
That is because writing allows readers the freedom to form their own images based on their viewpoint.
This process can be enjoyable because readers fill in the information with which the writer starts off. It's like moving to music or tapping your foot to a beat. This is two-way communication.
Whether the writer describes the actual environment or uses imagination, the writing must have movement and action for the story to flow and excite.
Think about a time you enjoyed a trip on a train, plane or bus. Were you looking out and watching the environment?
